"Gardens are not made by singin "Oh, how beautiful", and sitting in the shade."
~Rudyard Kipling
Just like kids.....all my plants need regular feeding....but the planters are like teenage boys!
ALWAYS HUNGRY!
I thought you might like an update on those planters I started in April...
Remember how they looked on that snowy night in April?
Then they came to Sweetwater in May (maybe the coldest, rainiest May ever....
It seems like this Spring has been the rainiest....cloudiest...coolest....EVER!
I have been religiously feeding these planters with Miracle-Gro
(and I didn't even know I was going to write a sponsered post....go figure!)
Now just a month later they look like this!
I am just about out of the water soluble ferilizer that I usually use. To be honest...since I don't use a hose sprayer, this is kind of a pain....filling the buckets and feeding by hand.
So when I went exploring the Miracle-Gro website and saw that there is a granular continuous feed product Shake’n Feed All Purpose Plant Food....I know that this is something I will be buying.....sounds a lot simpler than the old method!
My hope is that in a month or so.....if the SUN ever starts shining....I will surpass the glorious planters from last year!
In prep for writing this post....I did some research on the Miracle-Gro site and found some great gardening resources.....so if you already have a Green Thumb....or aspire to having one...
These are some fun links to explore!
And hop on over and like The Gro Project on Facebook to learn some tricks of the gardening trade from a collective of garden enthusiasts.
Then hop over to the Pinterest Page fun garden projects and add that board...I can't wait to see some ideas....Someone made a Pallet Succulent Garden just like the Sweetwater Daughter did!
Now since it is the first day of my Summer Break....there is a bag of Moisture Control Potting Mix in the garage waiting for me to pot up some more plants.....what could be better?
Have A Great Day!
My mom always used miracle grow. Always a jar of "blue water at the ready. I bought the shake and feed, but I think you get better results with the water mix. I agree though, it is a pain!
ReplyDeleteHow funny, I haven't thought of the jar of blue water in years. We always had the best flowers in the neighborhood.
